Omegas did not have these additions, but Astras and Vectras have extra items on their connectors, like above yellow tag. I imagine their function is to make the connection more secure. I found they make disconnection more difficult. What is the correct procedure to disconnect such a connection?

Squeeze the barbs together and pull the lock tab out and then release the connector :y

You need to see the picture ;)
I'd guess the yellow tab needs pulling down first. :-\

Terry asks that many questions that he'd be better off using a hosting site that works for all. I just get a little square, no picture.

Thanks to all for advice, and my apologies for the caps title.
FWD cars involve doing many tasks lying on my back, looking up and groping, and I often see just one barb, and so find it difficult to unplug things.
