...can a motorbike go before it can't be saved? I know the racing riders support/hold the bike up with their knees/elbows,but watching the mandatory tyre testing they had after the free practice sessions Marquez lost the front on a corner and managed to save it-although he did run onto the grass. The replay with the on board telemetry showed the bike at a lean angle of 70 degrees :o :o
-
Depends on several things but theoretically 90 degrees with enough speed ;)
-
They use some pretty trick tyres.......and I thought Dunlop TT100's were the dogs danglies.

The rider can come back from a more acute angle than the bike can.

I cant stand the little shit, but he is an astonishing rider.

I don't think Geoff Duke could have saved that...... :D ;)

While he has undeniably a huge talent I must admit I'm not particularly a fan of Marquez.I think that he has been unbelievably lucky in relation to crashes v injuries[especially given his riding style]he has managed to crash 13 times this season alone to my knowing :o
-
He appears to have a rubber skeleton.
I will never forgive him, Lorenzo and the rest of the Spanish mafia who run MotoGP for conspiring to deny Rossi has final title 3 or 4 years ago.
For me, that was the day it lost any pretensions of being a sport.

On an unmodified road bike, the footpegs are the limit. And in my case, as it slightly unsettles the bike, it unsettles my ringpiece.
-
Modern sports bikes have the footpegs somewhere up near your ears, which is why the are agony for old farts to ride any distance.
The theoretical limit is often the edge of the tyre, but most people run out of talent or nerve before they get to that point.

I run out of sphincter muscle when old bike pegs start sparking ;D
I kinda glad my biking days are over.... ….although I do sometimes still get the urge.

Me too! Although with my knackered hips, it'd have to be a sit up and beg type thing...... or even a step through! ::) ;D

I like to think I'm not that old yet ;D

Just told swmbo I might buy an R1 and go out with a bang rather than slip into decrepitude. I got " the glare".
Some people have no sense of fun.
