Anyone tried/had-experience with TWiki? http://www.twiki.org/ :-/
I`m thinking of implementing it on my server for a collaborative web-project; using a pre-defined CSS with permitted-parties contributing/editing content.
I like the 'easy' browser-driven UI; and dynamic change tracking.

Hmm. Only thing I can add is that I am in medical devices manufacturing. Open source code is not validation friendly, so we do not use it.
MS Excel is off limits for critical data handling because it interprets numbers rather than preserves them.
For collaboration stuff, we use mostly meetings, telephone, email and (critically) paper. MS Project is used, but nobody is going to validate that for a development project anytime soon. That's part of the reason why medical devices cost so bloody much.
[edit]Sorry, reply was a bit of a rant and OT[/edit][
