I have driven loads of them....including the latest (less interesting) varient.
Still dont really rate them.....they need a bit more umph but I suspect they might not be as gentle on the owners then :y

Gonna get myself a Subaru Forester STI soon. It's about the only fun thing that will tow my pikey box. Wife will get the hand-me-down Omega ;)

Now now, you wouldn't want to wake up at Newent and find someone has had a go at you with a pair of sheers, would you ::) ;D

Must admit they could be quicker but they're "playfull" to drive & same as the Mig alot of bang for your buck.
If anyone's been watchin' my bitchin' about these but never tried one & have a quiet weekend ahead, find an early pop up light model on a forecourt, get the salesman to put the tradeplates on & see for yourself. Don't have to buy it but might as well liven the boring shopping trip up a bit. :D

SWMBO's already done that, it fell out with stress.. ;D ;D ;D ;D

I'll still be driving my Omega. Have to now that I've invested so much time, energy and dosh.
Spanish car tax will be around 2million euros a year for "top band" guzzlers.
I just hope Omega forum is still going then. There maybe some pretty strange problems develop on a thirty year old car.

Bought my first car in 1963 - Ford E93A 1172cc - would never become a classic. Bought my first TR4 in 1968 and thought then - this will become a classic - wish i could have afforded to keep it! In 1981 bought, with a view to restoration, a 1967 TR4A which had been wrapped round a lamp post and was mechanically pretty crap - good points solid straight chassis and cheap price. This car is now over 40 years old - and no doubt will still be around in 10/20 years time (as long as i am!)
Probably also still driving my Omega to recoup all the money recently invested!!

Engines will probably still be going but I suspect the bodies will have rusted away! ::)

In 20 years time, I think I will probably be on my 3rd or 4th Insignia, are we planning on letting them use OOF for their problems too???
I think the Insignia is lovely and am looking forward to being able to afford one! ;) :)
