Quite interesting.

Although some years ago[and things have moved on a bit since then]Rossi did have a couple of "tests" in the then current Ferarri and there were rumours that he might switch to F1,just as John Surtees did all those years ago.Obviously nothing came of the idea, but Rossi is not too bad at rally driving either.
-
Ecclestone was very keen to have him in F1 15 years ago, and it was rumoured his lap times in the Ferarri were close to Schumacher,s.
Rossi said he thought about it, but couldn't put up with someone talking into his ear all the time telling him how to race.
With hindsight, it might have been a good move for him to have done seven or eight years ago, if the opportunity was still there.
Nice to see Hamilton is prepared to risk binning an eyewateringly fast bike and risk everything, rather than wrap himself in cotton wool as F1 prima donna,s tend to do.
-
Agreed fair play to Hamilton for giving it a go although it does seem that he dropped it in some way[easily done on something like that]but fortunately wasn't injured in any way.

I think individuals like Hamilton and Rossi have a natural feeling for balance and grip whatever they are driving or riding.
Probably born with it.

I wouldn't argue with that.

But would Rossi be as quick as you on a 500 cc 2 stroke Kawasaki widow maker? ::)

Nah, no chance. Lol.

Yeah......anyone can ride a million pound bike that handles like a dream. A 50 year old hinged in the middle Kawasaki requires more skill........or an unhinged rider. :)
-
Absolutely.

A cousin of mine used to race a Kwakker 500 two stroke in clubman races back in the day.He used to have a proper sweat on at the end of every race he finished-and there were a few he didn't :D Braver man than me the way that thing used to handle :-X
