Do you guys get posts by email? (I mean you & TB). If so, I get it.

I don't get email, just 'surf' the forum so it took a bit of working out. If I do 'get it', I suspect a prolific copy and paster is about to be 'getting it' as well...

Nope, do all my browsing here (just pm's to email for achiving purposes)

I am just aware welcoming old newbies is a pet hat of Jaimes at the mo.

alexandjen have been welcoming folks from at least as far back as the 16th Aug ... probably thats it ...  :(

Didn't have to look hard ... http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1218866220/0#0

page 76 of the newbie section is unlocked.

If you wanna blow the dust and cobwebs away, as well as your post count, off you toddle. ;D ;D ;D ;D

I picked 'at random' the one with the most replies http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1218082413/0#0
07/08

If everyone considered a newbie welcomed at 15 posts (ie 1 page) think the issue would be solved.

Easy to see who needs welcoming, and less admin.

Agreed, I look for 15 or under, every now and again I might post a little after that. :y

I work on 72 hours ... I think that is a reasonable time and allows for the odd day/weekend when I'm away.

I think limiting to the "first 15" would penalise those who have other things to do than sit on the WWW !!  :)

The other more radical solution would be to amend the newbies section to not count towards your post count.

That would ensure genuine welcomes  ;D

You're all wrong.  I haven't dared look in the Newbie section today, I don't think I'm in the right frame of mind to bang my head against that particular wall at the moment.

So no, you're all miles off course.

Went to buy some bits, seeing as I had a 10% off TC prices voucher.  When he presented bill, I said that was way too high, but they assured me it was correct.  However, as he was collecting all the bits, I looked at the invoice, and could tell it wasn't TC prices.

Their only Yellow Book was locked in a office, and no internet connection  >:(

They still assured me it was right, but I could ring them tomorrow if wrong, when they would look in the Yellow book.

Got home, worked it out, they have overcharged me by 50%. Yes 50% :o

I feel sorry for the kid who picks up the phone tomorrow  >:(.  Actually, thats a lie.

Won't they set up an account for you?
Mine did so now everything gets billed at TC automatically when they book it to my account (cos they know I'll check and be back to bo**ock em if it's not).

I never use them normally, tend to use Bridge at Banbury, who have a very good parts dept.

But I had a 10% off TC prices voucher for Crownhill in MK.

When you get the bumper, I'll give you a form with the local dealer's retailer code on it. Then you can have a genuine card all to yourself.  ;)

On what grounds? Get them to call the number that was provided with pack (if lost, get in touch with the membership sec at ABS, Alf, very helpful :y).

Bridge, imho, have the advantage of being an independent, so looking after customers is more important.

They know Mrs TheBoy well, as soon as she walks in, they know her, get all the bits required, and take it out to car for her :y

Also, they let me order parts over phone, unlike Crownhills who say I have to go in and pay for it before ordering.
