Is there a diy way of checking to see if your wheels are round. I have had all 4 wheels rebalanced but i still get what feels like iam running over the cats eyes. On the passenger side.

It should have been obvious on the balancing machine is they were out of round. Go back and ask them to check.

Or is a tyre damaged / not fitted correctly? ???

CV joints and boots OK ?
Also ,swap the wheels to the other side ,see if the problem moves :y

Could be a dead shock... The wheel bouncing would cause the same sensation ;)

I had a pair of new tyres once that were out of shape and caused a horrible vibration on the back end. ::)
Had a hell of a job getting the tyre shop to accept that they were faulty. >:(

easy, all you need is a robust post to hold some sort of marker near the rim. Drill a hole in an old broom handle to hold a pencil, glue it into a hole drilled in some scrap decking/floor board/skirting/etc and you're ready to depress yourself!
To do this 'properly', you'll need to check the circumference of the rim for runout, and the face of the rim for swash. Do the inner edge of the wheel too; this is where you will find the most damage.
Todays large, deeply offset wheels are easily buckled, and worse damage is common.
