Title: Bought an Ex-Plod Omega...
Post by: deviator on 26 February 2020, 13:55:16
Well I could resist, it was amazingly cheap and the condition is superb! There isn't a spot of rust on it at all, no really, no rust. There are some signs of overspray though, but this doesn't detract from the overall quality of this vehicle. Also, no oil leaks. The biggest issue are the tyres, which seem quite hard, I can only assume it's been stood for a while.

Anyway as everyone love pics...

I have to say I'm surprised by how accurate it is, even the interior looks close to Pre-Face. I did try and get some photos of the inside, but my phone didn't do it justice.

So, did you pay more for it than an actual omega, or less?  :D

Bargain Hunt. £40

Did you get service history with it? If it has had a recent belt change could be worth£300.

NickW will be along shortly to advise changing all seals if it has stood for some time in its box ( German for pits or garage)

It was a struggle, I had save hard and the next few months will be tight, but I managed to get together the £10 it cost. The wife won't be happy when she realises I've spent so much.

Apparently, the guy selling it has more, Mr A R Gos (https://www.argos.co.uk/product/9177099).
