......and expect to get away with it?
Health secretary Matt Hancock said, on the news today, that the government was working closely with supermarkets to ensure there were no food shortages and people in quarantine at home would be looked after.
The supermarkets said "Matt Hancock is making up what he is saying. We haven't heard anything from the government".
Pillock.

Who's going to hold them to account ?
Pretty much everything that comes out of Tory gobs is an absolute lie yet it is accepted and positively lapped up in some circles
-
ONLY Tory gobs?
Ron.

ONLY Tory gobs?
Ron.
Labour have been out of power for so long, we only get to listen to Tory gobs ;D
Strange that the last labour leader of note was christened Tony B Liar ::)

I think Donald Trump is the only politician who doesn't lie. ::)

Looks like the next US president will be either
Bernie Sanders age 78
Joe Biden age 77
Donald Trump age 73.
Surely the US president should be a 'big swinging dick' rather than a choice between 3 'limp dicks'... :)

Flap, flap, oink, oink!!!
Ron.

"the supermarkets said" .... now that's a highly attributable comment ... NOT ... but it is believed more than the Minister ....
I always remember a security briefing when I was in the RAF ... went along thew lines of ... Don't discuss matters in the Pub .. as if you are overheard by a journalist they will publish what you said as "a military spokesman said......"
Sounds like that is again the present standard, and is now the "truth" to a great many ....... gullible or what ???
-
From the BEEB:
But supermarket sources said they had not discussed getting food to homes.
One executive said he was "baffled" by the suggestions.
An executive told BBC business editor Simon Jack: "Matt Hancock has totally made up what he said about working with supermarkets. We haven't heard anything from government directly."
Good enough for little ole gullible me.

The unbiased, balanced, objective Beeb again.

I believe them, in this instance. But, apparently, they'll be 'more representative' of the country as a whole once the new charter is up and running.
-
The crona-beer-virus, was invented by the Supermarkets to get rid of all the overstock they bought in post-brexit, as it didn't happen they need to empty the extra warehouses they rented to avoid paying more rent....

All politicians lie except of course those in the political party you voted for.
-
You can tell they are lying because their lips move. >:(

I’ve said it before, .. if you can’t lie there’s no place for you in politics💀

I would love to see that just to se all the lefty Liberals crying their fickin eyes out.

They'll still be the same obnoxious self serving clunges that they already are :-X

Did he tell you to say that?
Is it a lie, if you believe it?
-
Ignoring the pathetic lazy leftie do-gooders, it would appear Trump has, somehow, been good for America. And that's exactly what America needs. As do we.

Almost all politicians are liars, but the public don't really seem to care. Imo voters care about their overall effectiveness. The yanks had a choice between two liars - Hilary or Trump and chose Trump. We had a choice between two liars- Corbyn or Boris- and we chose Boris.
Voters would probably like their politicians to be honest, but accept that they aren't, so chose the liar who they think will do the better (or least worst) job.

Honesty is not absolute. There are various shades of honesty.
I once found a young girls purse with bank cards and cash. I even drove 30 miles to return the purse. I was honest.
If I found there was a banking error of £20000 in my favour I would 'shut the f*uck up. Is that dishonest?

Yes, as knowingly doing so is illegal and you can be charged under the Theft Act :D ;)
So do not spend that £20k Opti! ;D ;D :)

Not dishonest to steal from a bank. How can it be?
They are all crooks. :)

Joking aside, older age is associated with poorer outcomes in relation to Coronavirus. Any country with many older senior leaders should, arguably, consider this risk.

Apparently Trump took the coronavirus test and allegedly it was negative. :)

I saw this line elsewhere today....
"Powerful governments worldwide cannot prevent a deadly virus from spreading, yet they tell us that they can change the planets temperature by raising taxes!" :)
