I’ve cleaned gear lever selector switch all working fine now but car not even turning over fault codes are same as before 1700 and 0500 car 3.2 mv6

Does it crank?
Saloon/Estate?
How much fuel?
Fuel pump priming?
What does it do in neutral?

He didn't say it did or didn't crank ::)
'car won't start' is a pretty broad description...

OK, that's slightly more gender specific than I first read... :-[
First question... Is the selector switch correctly adjusted and securely plugged in?
Second question... What happens if you insert the key. Count to five. Turn to Pos 1. Count to five. Turn to Pos 2. Count to five. Crank.
Third question... Is the battery fully charged? These can die in as little as two days.

Sorry people car won’t crank over.key in 1 position buzzing noise 2 noise stops lights on dashboard 3 no crank .battery showing 12.4 volts I put jump leads on from another battery voltage 12.6 il charge battery tomorrow cheers everyone

Turn the key to crank and hold it. Give the starter motor a smack... Due to access a broom handle or similar against the starter and give that a tap.
Omega starters are one of the more reliable parts.

Possible ignition switch failed, about £5 off fleabay and easy to change
-
First rule of diagnosing this sort of fault is to go back over the work you did that caused it.
It's the second, third and fourth rules too :y

Sounds like the car "thinks" it in gear and not in park/neutral..

KISS
12 volts supply directly to starter motor terminals.
Does starter turn ??
If NO .. starter requires replacement,...
if YES .. fault is in wiring/switchery prior to starter. First thing to check is starter relay... intelligent use of meter required

Check the selector lights match the shifter position. If no, this is the problem. If yes, then...
