Taken to intensive care :(
-
Indeed, here's hoping he recovers.
-
I woke up with a start this morning expecting the news that Donald had dropped. :-\
Hopefully it wasn't a prediction about Boris :-\
-
Don't go to intensive care unless your in bad shape ime.

I asked my daughter about this .... she's a nurse on the ICU. She disagreed. Her ICU has recently been used as a COVID free part of the hospital by people that need after care monitoring but are otherwise well(ish)
I have to say that I hope she's right. :-\
-
C'mon Boris get well soon, the country needs you! :y

In New York they are talking about burying bodies in the parks because they are running out of space in the morgues. :(

There are 66,000,000 people in the uk and we've lost less than 6000. Work that one out.

Wouldn't they need to run out of spaces in the cemeteries and crematoriums ? ::)

time for one of Islam's better ideas, that was for public health reasons burial within 24 hours of death. In the 21st century, that's actually cremation, and there is no reason why crematoriums can't be run constantly if necessary. Memorial services can wait untill later

he's a traditional opps you, I'm alright Tory, so just doesn't want to share........
Boris is just a waste of skin. Rather sweaty skin 8)

Hope Boris recovers fully, certainly a horrible virus to attack the lungs so severely, I have had some nasty chest infections the worst one at Christmas 2006 a horrible experience not being able to breathe properly wouldn't wish this on anybody.
-
Just a precaution really.
Doubtful a member of the general public would go into IC with the same symptoms.
Boris will soon be back inseminating random women.
-
Taken to intensive care :(
I'm surprised you like him.
His comments about Liverpool were far from positive. ::)

Why do you think I left?

If Corbyn had won the last election instead of Boris, and then contracted Covid as Boris has. Dianne Abbott could wel be running the country right now !
Theres a scenario to give you nightmares.

Yes. But the bonus would have been that he'd have died.

I hope people realise that when Boris is in intensive care but not using a ventilator, it's because he's lying next to one, just in case he does need it. And because it's been allocated to him, nobody else can use it.
Which means that someone will die, because there aren't enough ventilators.
I hope when Boris pulls through this someone in fact everyone he ever meets, reminds him that some unknown.person died because he was prioritised.
In don't want him to die. But I do want him to have the same prioritization given to him as any other person would get. Overweight, 55, white male? As I understand it anyone over 50 in London is NOT getting a ventilator.
-
Unless you can verify any of that, Im calling it a load of bollix.
-
Totally agree Albs...utter" opps what " and no evidence of that
-
Got to agree utter shite.
-
Boris has just come out of intensive care.

free ventilator anyone? :)

:y :y
-
Keeping the prime minister alive is quite a good idea in my opinion, and of course anyone in intensive care on oxygen will have a ventilator on ‘standby’ (as it were).. I really think that post was a wind up or total bollo)(.

Great news for him and his family but also for the whole of the UK.
We need his leadership and ability to bang heads together because the last few days with Raab in charge seemed a bit rudderless. Mr R certainly doesn't ooze confidence like many great leaders do.
Sinak & Gove gave more polished performances.
Still, although we won't see Boris for a while, it's great news to hear he is well on the road to recovery. :y
-
I agree with the way mr R comes over but he is a very well spoken cool type, I must say I like the way he comes across.

I know this woman who trained as a nurse in London in the early 80s who knows this woman because they shared a flat and were trainee nurses together who is now very senior in a London hospital. And my wife who used to be a nurse, knows both these woman and told me it's true, so it must be. Because unlike me, she never lies.

Also, any notion of 'everyone should be treated the same' is now, always has been and always will be total sh!te. It's a facile childish notion that bears no relation to reality.

As long as those that were given priority are eternally grateful that the boxes they ticked made them higher priority.
I remember as an 18 year old having "Not for 222" explained to me. It was 35 years ago and probably brought the end to my childhood.
