Hi all
Need the nut that holds the oil cooler to the plate
I’m in the middle of repacking it and the one I’ve taken off seems to have been misthreaded when put on
If you have one and can post to me 1st class
Or I can collect if local in Birmingham
Thanks

I'll have a look in the lock up tomorrow as I'm sure the oil cooler I bought for mine came with new nuts/washers to hold the cooler to the cover plate and I might still have the old ones.

Just so I have this right
Between the cooler and the plate there is two rubber o rings
But no washers to sit under the nuts
That’s how mine has come off

From memory[it's a while since I did mine]there's no washer between cover plate and the two nuts that hold the oil cooler to it and Haynes make no mention of one either. As you say there is a rubber "O" ring between the oil cooler inlet/outlet and the under side of the cover plate.

Absolutely correct
The nuts always break. New cooler, new fasteners is the way to go. Keep your coolant serviced, it will last the life of the car :y

The nuts that were on my original cooler came off without problem and as the new cooler came with all the washers/"O" rings necessary[apart from the dowty washers for the coolant bridge] I still have the old nuts.
