Hardly rocket science to catch them either...

Identify the motorway and time from the dash and match any of the cameras at that time on that motorway and hey presto, summons in the post.

Probably someone's pride & joy being "road tested" after its service or could even be a stolen vehicle ,sounds very nice though.

Yes and when they know the car and owner, if it was him but he says it was someone else, he has to tell them who it was or he will get done for it anyway.....He’s fkd💀💀

Definitely RS6.  :y  That dash is the same as mine, he's got the main multi media screen tucked away. Also, it's got that annoying whistle that some of them have when you get over a certain speed, generally around 180mph.  ;D Anyway, why are they looking for him and what has he done wrong.  :-\ ;D

Apparently Sussex Police are investigating an Audi RS6 doing 201mph on the M23 and earlier in the day another vehicle doing over 180mph.

And here's where the media get confused, but let's not let that get in the way of a good story.  ::)  One report says Police Officer blah blah blah said that the Audi was weaving in and out of traffic with complete disregard for other drivers. Another media report says the Audi driver took full advantage of the near empty stretch of motorway. If I'm honest, that motorway being that clear would have been a gift to the 'old me'.  ;)

My "old me" too. Cant be arsed any more tbh. More likely to see what mpg I can get than MPH.

Wisdom with age + a dislike of fines , it's an unfair game nowadays with cameras etc just a comfortable cruise does me now.

Similar here. Had a scare with a fine which should have meant loss of licence a few years back. It was just after a period of 30 years where I could walk or bike to work, but that had changed to no licence = no job.
Had to grow a sensible head after that, which wasn't easy at first, but fits quite easily now.

That guy is in a world of trouble. Using a hand held device whilst driving is frowned upon, especially when you are using it as a video device so you are driving one handed.  ::)
I should imagine they'd be slightly pissy about the speed as well.   ::)

I’m tempted every time I get in the Evo but I’ve some nice quiet  mountain roads where I live, even when the lockdown is not on. So it gets used and abused  in its natural environment, although I try not to take it out too often just in case, I track it quite often though so as to take the want away a little😂😂

It's funny, the fastest I've driven (obviously not on public roads) was an indicated 152. So probably somewhere in the 140's and it didn't 'feel' overly quick, despite the car being at the very top of 5th.

Even in the video, the difference between 150-160 and 200 seems shocking.  :o

Rae, what's the top end of the Evo (on a private track obviously)?

162 but I have the revs limited to 7900. If I had another gear I bet it would pull 180+... 420bhp 415lbsft and 1150 kg :y mind you it gets up there pretty fast, Zero to 100mph in 8.5 ,11.5 quarter of a mile.

V Max in a Plod 3.2 Estate is pretty uneventful outside of the focused attention that 2.5 miles a minute demands.

140 in a Granada Cosworth was more of an event, but for all the similarities, they're very different cars to drive...

V Max in a Seat Altea 1.9tdi is one of the most nerve-wracking motoring experiences you could possibly have  ;D

V max in a fiat panda I regularly got shown just over 90 .. 903cc  old type.. across the 7 bridge coming home from work on a Friday with the wind behind us getting blown all over the place and it was Really something that! I would be trying to get me and my dad home early for Friday night😂😂 on one occasion when we were getting blown around really bad he said ‘ how fast are you going Rae?’ I said Dad  WE... are  doing 90, he said oh, slow down a bit then, it’s too much for this little car :o I’ve never witnessed anyone as cool as that and slowed down to a conservative 80 ;D ;D

The thing that really surprises me is that all the other cars were actually in the left hand lane....... :)

Yes indeed and boats seem even quicker, even 45mph on a 17ft seems crazy.

Years ago I watched an episode of Miami Vice the drug lord had a power boat with four motors,  when it went off it was virtually upright had so much power looked superb !

I agree.  :y  In a car you feel somehow falsely safe and it's a bit of a non-event. On a bike you know you are doing it as the scenery moves faster than your eyes. You are hanging on and the buzz is so much more. After my accident my family begged me not to buy another bike but I had use of my mates ZZR1100. Although it was a Sports Tourer it was a very forgiving bike to ride for its size and had brutal torque when gunning it. I'd love another bike but I would end up killing myself on it due to my age and reaction time. It's been a while since I've been out on a Superbike.  :'(
Still got the YZ in the garage if I fancy a blast across a field.  :y

Same here I messed my leg up on a motocrosser, I would like to ride again but I can’t be trusted and I’m certainly not safe ;D
