Local lockdowns in Germany. A lot of these outbreaks, in Germany and the US, seem to be in meat processing plants. When you get around to Sunday lunch, make sure you cook the joint properly. ;D

Went around my local Sainsbury last evening and you'd have thought that the 2 metre rule had been scrapped already. Families of four wandering around, kids playing with fresh produce etc. Queue up nice and orderly outside, when you get it it's a free for all. Shopper beware!

Same problem in Morrisons and Tesco. I use the trolley if someone invades my space , there has been a few bashed ankles , not mine ;D

Not sure if the little Social club Im secretary of will be able to open or not. Depnds on the details of the rules.
I wont be able to go until August 1st regardless, as swmbo is shielding until then. Plus the fact I can hardly walk at the moment anyway, despite heeding advice and munching painkillers.

for the 1 metre rule to apply you need to take extra measures
so supermarkets ,shops ,walking past strangers ,etc should still be 2 metres

The lockdown reductions are actually picked by the national lottery computer. This gameshow method was picked because it was the only one that interested our cargo-cult PM(no thinking required, and lots of lovely risky gambling) and the third rate ministers could understand. Add the inane 'common sense' catchphrase every other sentence to spread any resulting blame.

Have it on pretty good authority that the figures released to us mere peasants are " doctored" significantly , this is all about money now, advising the public to use commonsense is a get out clause the idiots will be in the pubs thinking that it's all safe now best of luck to them arms round each other when they're pissed.

the idiots think they are immune and won't bother getting a test even if they show symptoms . :(

Absolutely spot on , the ones with commonsense can see exactly what is happening you don't need to sit through a nonsensical daily briefing ( thankfully finished now) to be bombarded with facts & figures that simply don't add up.

Been Sainsburys today and yesterday to get my daughters shopping, then mine, and absolutely no problems with all social distancing and as I use Smart Shop I do not interact with another human being at any stage. :D ;)
Went to Boots to get essentials for the first time since March, and once again full social distancing being applied and adhered to. Same at Sainsbury's filling station. :y :y
But I will NOT be going anywhere else, but my daughters who are keeping safe, with no trips to main shopping centres, high streets, or even beaches as the idiots ARE out there and think it is all over - it bloody well is not!! >:( >:(
Germany is finding out what "relaxation" can bring, and as for the USA, let alone Brazil; but what can the two latter countries expect when they are "led" by fools as Presidents!! ::) ::) ::)

There are sections of the black community that don't like each other as well, notably Africans and Caribbeans.
I have a friend who was born in Uganda, but came to the UK when he was small with his family, when Idi Amin was keeping people's heads in fridges. ::)
Anyway his sister had a new boyfriend whose family hailed from Jamaica and her family weren't at all happy about it. ::) Not sure what his family thought of him going out with an 'African' girl mind. :-\
I thought my friends Ugandan family were rather snobby about Wayne the 'Jamaican' with the gold tooth innit. :)

Yep, too true. A close friend of mine has a black Jamaican partner, and when he is on a rant about Black Africans for some reason or another the "N" word is expressed very freely!! ::) ::) ;)

I understand what you mean, as every life is important. However what DG was emphasising I believe is that, as usual, in 2018 541,589 deaths occurred in just England and Wales. Every year we lose people, like I have lost my parents over the last 5 years, and two friends.
We are born to die etc, etc., so as painful as it may seem the loss from this virus 42,000 is low compared to how it could have been a LOT worse - and still could be if the idiots are let lose - like the 228,000 British lives lost to Spanish Flue in 1918 or the earlier Black Death 1348-51 that wiped out 50-60% of the English population alone.
So, 42,000 is terrible, but, once again, it must be said it could be a lot worse. :'( :'(

Unfortunately a great many "liberated" women simply consider abortion a simple form of birth control ... they don't have to worry until it happens , then the "it's my body" mantra kicks in and an abortion is arranged .... "all life matters" ???? I guess not ... :(

This to me seems to completely ignore a basic biological fact. Being a pregnant women means you have another human body inside your body. Its not "your body", its the body of your unborn child. :(
When Hilary Clinton advocated abortion up to the point of being carried out up to going into labour, if the mother requested it, I decided she was a creature devoid of humanity.
