Title: The Bells
Post by: Lagondanet on 30 June 2020, 19:17:35
Hello again!
It has been some time (July 2019)
I miss my Omega and the banter on here. KX02 VUK. Seem to recall it went to AndrewV8. A member?
I replaced it with an Antara. Different beast but has proved excellent so far. A real work horse.
I still have the Lagonda.

I have an ulterior motive for revisiting too.
Anyone care to help me with this? Stay safe!

They really are a big old barge, occasionally see one around work (the AML factory/site is directly behind our office)

Think the same guy bought mine as well never kept it long , told me that he couldn't afford the insurance no longer on the road now , shame it was a very good example.

The last Lagonda I saw was in the front garden of a house in or around Cromer the other year

The Lagonda is so low at the front it makes me wonder how they get a 5.3 litre V8 under there.

Is it technically mid engined?

Don't think so, but I reckon most of the 'advanced seventies electronics' came from Tandy.

I think it's easy to forget how attractive a clean Omega is now that they are relatively rare , it looks lovely , mine has been under a dust cover in the garage for a year and has done a huge 45 miles since Dec '19 due to this china virus .
Can I ask what width of spacers you have on it ?

Put 25mm spacers on but did lower it 30mm as did look a little silly at standard height with them on.
I have always love the look of them. Would love the spoiler and a stainless exhaust in the future.

but you've a large car in there with room to walk down the side. When I could get my Omega in my garage, there was just about enough room to open the door.

Andrew. Glad you still have the car, which looks great. I just have Adam, Antara and Lagonda now, but do think fondly of my Omegas and Senators now and then.

Front bumper still lines up nicely too 8)

Thinking about it, I recall fitting the rear parking sensors to the rear bumper as well...

Still looks really well presented (inspite of the spacers/lowering :D). A credit to both you and the Lagondanet :y

All too often one owner will really look after their car, and the next won't even wash it...
