Post by: TheBoy on 12 August 2020, 13:27:54
I guess its the motor, seeing as the window wont move. So I need another, priced with posting to Brakkers.

Does it click when the switch is pressed?

If not, presumably you've checked the wiring...  ::)

No noise that I've heard, so I was going to go into the job with the most likely component to hand - seen far more failed motors than rear loom faults, though aware they do sometimes fail right by the connector in the B post.

And the driver's door loom/switch. Rear windows are both powered from the driver's door switch.  ;)

A failed motor should still click with an associated dimming of the interior lights (ign on/eng off).

Motor body can also be removed in situ for testing purposes.

A jammed motor or mech will click. A failed motor wont.

Should still show power past the switch ;)

Yeah, but if I'm having the dooryard off, I want a window mech to fit. As we all know what the most likely fault is.
