Title: Steering box removal.
Post by: lee4206 on 06 September 2020, 20:35:46
Does anyone have any experience of removing the steering box?
Haven't really looked at it yet but was wondering if there was any issues /any tips on removing it.

Thanks

Lee

It's heavier than it looks. Might need to remove the starter and downpipe to actually remove it. (Haven't actually removed one, but access around it isn't great...) ;)

At least it doesn't have 1m of steering column permanently attached.

Well got it out.  Access isn't great but you don't have to remove the down pipe but the starter does have to come off
It looks like it should come out easily but it does fight you.
Onward with the rust repair now.
