I realised on Monday last week, that that the MOT expires today on the Range Rover. I tried to book in for Last Thursday, to be told "Sorry, due to the previous covid MOT extension, there is a mad rush for MOT's at the moment, there's a two week wait".......
Oh well. The Omega is MOT'd until December. I've put a battery on that, and pumped up the tyres / put some fuel in. That will have to do me until I can get a test.
Speaking of MOT, the Omega is up for test in late December. I've had her since 2017 and will be sad if she fails, but I think (despite no advisories at all at the last one), the writing is on the wall........ :'( :'( :'( :'(

The two areas you showed are cheap to weld up. Although finishing them smartly isn't.
What does the rest of the car look like, as that is what will decide whether it's worth doing.

Pretty solid as far as I can see.... but ANY welding is sadly beyond my experience / equipment :(
Do you fancy the job? ;D :y

You may wish to fit a matching size front wheels/tyres as well... :D
No point upsetting the tester for the hell of it :y

Hah... good spot.... the 235/45/17s (all with new boots, and nice red griffin centre caps) will be on there before the test :y :y

as long as the same size is fitted both sides "on the axle" it's a pass :y
of course they need to be legal tread etc and if the rolling radius is much different it can upset the ABS
requiring some black insulation tape over the ABS warning light on the dash ;D :-X :-[

Bit of tape would be fine on arch to cover rough edge but that sill will probably fail under seat belt mounting. I am an MOT tester btw but off sick with a bust up wrist--------
