Title: Christmas Card
Post by: pscocoa on 30 October 2020, 15:13:16
Cannot believe it - received seasons greetings card 15 minutes ago via postman. From friends in Spain. Maybe taking a pessimistic view on aspects of lock down?

Don't  be a humbug, dear doctor! If you don't like them, design something different?

Ron.

P.S. Please don't Spoonerise "humbug"!

It wasn't from us! We tried to send a birthday card to Australia. Spanish Post Office refused it. Australia not accepting cards from Spain.( too much CV 19)

Two months before the oppsing event?

Could we have no mention of Christmas until we get to the week it's in? It's on a Friday this year, which would give four days of buildup, which is generous.

I was about to suggest it's been cancelled, and anyone who thinks otherwise can explain why when Lizzie and the Police pop round to remind them... :D

Christmas is a time for small children to escape from reality for a period of time, god bless them. Apart from that it's just a load of commercialised shite.

I will be at work from 7.30am to 7.30pm. Not much point in me even trying to get excited about it.  ::)

I was stood down last year as the shed was closed Christmas and Boxing Day. Boxing Day is first day of shift this year so might be a five day break again this year too  :D

What's to get excited about? A bit of dinner (which I have to cook) and shite telly for about two weeks. There are some, I suppose, who like repeats of Morcambe and Wise.

I'd prefer to either be on a beach or at work...

At least this year's repeats of Cannon and Ball will only be half as long :)
