Pretty sure the blue car is Jackie Stewart.

One blue car would be Jackie Stewart in the Tyrell. All his 27 (of 99) race wins were in a Tyrell. Champion in 69, 71 and 73.
The other Tyrell was Francois Cevert. A young star who all of us would love to have looked like, and been able to drive like.
He was killed in practice the day before Stewart was due to drive his 100th Grand Prix. Stewart decided at that point to bring forward his retirement with immediate effect, hence the 99 starts.
The JPS Lotus drivers were Fittipaldi (youngest ever Champion at the time, in 70 / 72) and the late great Ronnie Peterson. An incredible driver, who should have been a champion on at least one occasion.
I still well remember his startline accident at Monza in 78. :'(
Theres no doubt that the racing was much more interesting to watch in those days, but there was often a high price for driving those fibreglass / aluminium coffins on the ragged edge. :(

As a kid I loved the JPS Lotus finished in black and gold. Pretty sure I had a model of the earlier Lotus in red and white 'Gold Leaf' colours.
Pretty sure Graham Hill was still driving in 1973 although well past his best.

One of my schoolfriends first car was his mother's JPS Capri that she'd owned from new. It quickly got named the Black Death due to a 17 tear old's exuberant driving style. 33 years later, his wife still has the remains of it.

Yep.....I well remember the black JPS Capri from the mid/late seventies. If I had owned one of these instead of a moped I would have enjoyed far more pussy, and far less solo 'wrist action' in my bedroom. ;D
