My rear fog lights have failed the mot.
The thing is that the switch doesnt light up when pressed. Fuse 28 has been changed and is good.
Reverse still works so i guess its not the bootlid loom, which looks ok.
Headlamp switch i wonder?

Think I read in manual that the rear fog lights are disabled with tow bar electrics connected so maybe something in rear spare wheel footwell has got caught and pulled wires apart.
Assume they have worked before ?
-
Could still be bootlid loom as the wire
to the reverse lights will be different to the foglamps.
-
Ahh ok, i will check both of those.
The reason i suspect the switch is that i replaced it a while ago and since then the interior light has never worked.
Unfortunatley i cant find a replacement on ebay..
Fog lights worked before.

if its an early style with both fog switches below main light switch I have one.

Fog switches are individually removable and interchangeable.
Simply swap side to side to test... After you have fixed ALL the boot lid harness.
-
Well it turned out to be a simple fix.
I read on here about swapping over the two small black relays in the cabin fuse box, and the light came back on and both fogs now work.
However the nearside bulb is very dim, even after swapping, it cant cope with fogs and reverse on at the same time.
Offside works just fine.

Then you still have an issue... Either with that cluster or its ground.

I'd go with DG on this - does anything change when side/brake/indicators are on?
