You're gonna have to stop posting those pictures ;D
-
Your admin profile does not show you as being banned.
:y :y

;D ;D ;D can't be pics Steve. . . Cant post them. Must be a glitch to do with my e mail address. As can get on the site and post and reply by using my phone. Cant recall slaggin' anyone lately either :-\
-
Must be my end then. Will get my IT expert nephew to check it out for me. :y
-
I think you should stay banned, I'll PM my mate Jaime. ;D
-
Might be the IP address via which your home stuff is connecting, although we don't tend to ban based on IP address as they are dynamic
-
Can you try again?
-
I got something similar a few months back. I tried using a VPN and got blocked out.. Just reformatted and installed a fresh install.
-
Ah...just added a VPN a few days ago. Will look into reformatting. Thanks all. Will post up if it works or not. :y
-
Ok . . done a "Login" and now working on PC and phone but not on the laptop which I installed the VPN. Have also switched the VPN off and still no access on the laptop.
I cannot do anything on the OOF site from the laptop.
What does reformatting involve ?
Is it " resign" and start again with a new username?
Memo to other OOF members : OP is clueless on IT stuff :-[ :-[
-
just do a system restore to a point before you installed the VPN
unless you really need a VPN :-\
system restore you can search in the search bar next to the start tab/button bottom left to save navigating if you don't know where it is in control panel.
I'm sure more IT savvy OOFers will advise
formatting a drive and completely reinstalling everything is quite a task ,not recommended for a novice IT person :o
-
And don't let Jaime know you installed a VPN. :-X
-
Ok, try again now, see if I have managed to get the correct IP address
-
Disable (actually, uninstall, because most of them are written by Mickey Mouse), and then try.
VPN IPs will, by their nature, end up on ban lists. And a VPN provides nothing useful to anyone at home, unless you want to access iPlayer from outside the UK. They are generally insecure, slow, and cause extra pain. Don't believe the hype about security, thats just BS. Most reduce security. Ask NordVPN customers ;D

I uninstalled the one I tried but still no access to OOF, format & new install sorted it for me. :y

A sure sign the vpn failed to uninstall, unless by magic your router disconnected for long enough that its ip got recycled.
