Hello folks, I bought myself a 2002 Omega for a couple hunner quid and doing her up.
One problem I have run into is the blowers display the fan power for a second or 2 then vanish with no blow.
At this moment in time I have the glove box out to look for a hedgehog :) but with vent pipes and cables in the way I cant see where this little guy is, does anyone have a picture of where its located?

It's under the windscreen scuttle panel. There are guides on here about it.
However, I'm not convinced that is your fault.

No it's not ;D
It's under the blower motor behind the glove box.
There's a guide ;)

Cheers folks, the sketch I saw of a guide was no use :(
The Vauxhall guide mentions remove vent tube and cable harness... and then im stuck as the cable tray/harness is tapped up like made.
Ive read about by pass the hedgehog and see if the fan runs. its all just wires to me :)

Hedgehog...heater resistor..has probably got wet due to water entering through the scuttle panel..common fault.
You need the glove box out and then you should be able to see the body of the blower and the heater resistor will be visible with a black plug going into it with several wires/brown/red.
If you have thin hands/good torch and like laying upside down in the passenger footwell ...you should be able to prise/tease the 2 locking tabs that hold it in place open enough to be able to pull the unit out of its housing.
Doudtfull you will see much evidence of a faulty part other than ali corrosion on the spikes but with the wires removed you can test that the fan is working...
As they are a common fault and not much over £20 just replace once you have checked fan works.

Is that all? I paid around £100 for one for SWMBO's Citroen .... and it wasn't even the fault! And Citroen wouldn't have it back :'(

£20 second hand. Were over £200 from VX ten years ago. ;)

Ah! Gotcha! :y Makes the Citroen hedgehog comparatively cheap! ;)

They have come down in price quite a lot recently. On Ebay there are quite a few between £20 and £30 delivered, from respectable sellers with lengthy guarantees, which doesn't make buying a used one a sensible option imho.

Bought 1 September time last year from Amazon...cost £19-95 delivered next day by prime so no pint buying 2nd hand
-
Amazon are now listing it as £19-99 so gone up a few pence
-
How very dare they... ;D
-
Chinese knock off presumably ?
-
At that price who cares as its working fine and better than no heater this time of year.
If it last 3 years like the last I will consider it a bargain :y
