Title: manual car washjng
Post by: raywilb on 22 March 2021, 22:59:57: i had three car washing spots near me & overnight they all disappeared . the one i used would charge £20 for a full valet ,do a decent job too. all Rumanian so was wondering if they were asked to leave.

Most of the ones he did have are at home in Romania, being paid furlough courtesy of HM Treasury, and have no intention of coming back until furlough ends.
Could be similar for carwash workers ?

Think about it, you've got X amount of money from doing something dodgy and you need to clean (excuse the pun) the money, you run it through a car wash. No one knows how many cars attend in a day. Feed hooky money through the car wash and you get shiny, legal money.

Quite possible. Also slave labour right under peoples noses.
