I think you've misunderstood what the census is for: it's intended to gather information about the population that wasn't easy to collect any other way. Data mining makes that easier, but actually asking people how they see themselves is still useful

So why do they need to know how many cars I drive?
Plus its all because I am bored and in one of those moods ::) ::)

So why do they need to know how many cars I drive?
So they know how many roads to build/widen/charge tolls on. I'd suggest you write 20 down, that way they'll increase the road funding in theory. Obviously common sense and government are mutually exclusive.

The wife asked me as she was filling it out, 'how many vehicles do we have?' I had to reply, 'Cars, van or motorbike?'. Apparently they are separate? So 4 cars, 1 van, 1 motorbike then.
-
I've filled in 2 of them. >:(
It could have asked of my second home : How many days other than the 21st Haven't you spent at this address in the last year?
(340)
It might have asked: Are you PAYE, Umbrella, or Ltd?

Mate of mine's Father in Law was the Cheif Engineering Director who pushed jaguar into making that. Told his son in law that it was the worst and most pointless decision he'd made. Should have been concentrating on real products that real people want to buy.
-
That point of view completely overlooks the technical merits of building such cars and the long term impact of those developments.

Probably should have had a V12 rather than a limp-wristed V6. It does look good though. :y

And that requires them to make the most of having such a car: build it quickly, and use the publicity to launch your real cars.
The XJ220 had no real link with anything Jaguar actually did, which is and always has been flashy saloons. And now they seem to be going down Lotus' fantasy car route

Wasn't it vaguely related to their Le Mans cars?
