On the MGB thread /build it said immobiliser had been programmed out of ECU, does any one know how?

It requires desoldering a chip from the ECU, reflashing then resoldering it. I'll pass on his email address if you feel up to all of that.
That's all beyond me, and Ian says it's actually easier to make the immobiliser work LINK (https://rlw7w.uk/engineswap/immobilizer/) He might still have the neutered ECU
As you're using all of the Omega, it should be possible to have your ECU coded to a new chip/pickup ring just like you would with a lost key.

Then your easiest/best solution is to code the ECU to a new chip. Which requires a Tech2 and someone who knows how to use it.

No I only had the one key and that disappeared of the key board at work (when I ran my own workshop) but then I only paid £50 for it for the wheels as it was an "economic " right off.

Usually it's in the book pack, although having that is more often than not luck.
Technically you need the chip, transpoder ring and ecu from the same car. The chip can be taped to the transponder and the whole thing taped up in the dash loom. You can then use any key/ignition switch as is convenient.
Although if you're using the Omega door handles/locks then you may as well use the ignition and remote from the original car and get a couple of working keys made.

Bought a key and barrel set of the bay and used steering lock off here , keyless entry . Just need the chip then.
