Title: I've sold the Tata.
Post by: Field Marshal Dr. Opti on 17 June 2021, 18:00:56
Purchased September 2017 for £37495 from Watford Jaguar

Sold to WBAC 17th June 2021......for £???

So I've owned the car for nearly 4 years.

The car will be sold at auction by BCA in the next few days.

I'm not convinced they will sell it for more than they paid me, so I may buy it back if the price is right. :y

£74.99 admin charge :-\ plus £24.99 for next day bank transfer, plus £25 for a taxi back, plus £5 tip for the cabbie. :)

There was an item on the news this morning about used cars. One guy had an upmarket showroom full of cars with 'sold' stickers on them. Apparently, prices are rising and he said punters were offering more than sticker price.

I've just put wifey's 66 plate diesel astra into WBAC, last month they were offering £6650. Today they are offering £7265. WTF?  :o

We only paid £10,100 for it three and a half years ago with 9000 miles on it. It's now done 38000.

Used car prices have risen significantly recently. I thought it wise to make best use of the opportunity because I don't believe this 'blip' will last for long.

They offered £28000, but this was reduced to £27405 due to stone chips. I've lost £10,000 over almost 4 years which I think remarkable for this type of car.

They valued the car as having FSH, but didn't notice that the car has not been serviced this year (service was due in February)

Major service this year ( which is probably why I have been putting it off) almost £1000 at the main dealer.

They also didn't notice that the rear tyres were well and truly f*ucked. :y

Enjoyed having a chat at WBAC with the owner of a 19 plate BMW 140i.

They offered £25800, which he accepted. He told me his local BMW dealer offered only £23000. Tight bastards.
