Well happy...passed another MOT....tester just mentioned a bit of corrosion started on a rear brake pipe, but he said he cleaned it up and its fine, and he put some grease on it. No mention of any tin worm anywhere :y :y :y

Nice feeling that Tony...another year :y

It sure is Andrew. I only use it locally now, and the Mazda 6 when we go on long trips. Omega still drives lovely, have put new disks, pads and bones on it. Probably didn't need them, but six years ago, an advisory mentioned wishbones bushes deteriorating, but never appeared again. Son in law was furloughed, and was bored, so I got him to fit all the stuff, just to give him something to do ;D

Nice one :y
Watch out next year for the 'grease or other substance on rear brake lines' advisory... ::)
:D
Jesting aside, you should try and use it regularly, one decent run a week, say back to Wycombe, is better than daily to the shops. If only to give it chance to warm through properly and keep everything moving ;)

It does get plenty of runs Al...Banbury, and yesterday, Wycombe. I don't do 'local shops'....that's a pink job ;D

Quite right too ;D

Nice one! :y :y
Never heard of an MOT tester actually rectifying anything in this day and age. They did in the old days, but usually they just give you another advisory, or fail! ::) :D ;)

Congratulations on the MOT pass :)

Well done. It's a great feeling. :y
Like Lizzie said, it's unusual for a MOT testing station to rectify a potential fault. Many years ago this would be a common occurrence (eg replacing any blown bulbs, adjusting headlamp levels etc)
-
The NT (MOT tester) is not allowed to fix anything during test ;)
any fault MUST be logged onto the VTS device .it's in the rules .
Once the test is complete ,the NT or mechanic can fix, adjust etc , then the NT re-tests
some NTs still adjust headlights etc during test as it saves them time :) :-X :P

I don't do 'local shops'....that's a pink job ;D
I recall last time we bumped into Mrs Terbs, she mentioned you'd sent her out, whilst you were comfortable wedged in your armchair ;D

Give it a run down to see us, few beers, sleep and head off back home next day. 23 hours each way from you.
Great result :y

Nice one on the pass :y it's a great feeling having another year out of the Omega.
Mine passed its test this morning, so there's at least 2 of them still on the road!
