I'm guessing the 1974 car would be powered by the 3 litre Cosworth V8.......with a paltry 450-500 BHP.
Only weighed about 600 KG though. :)

Yes the days of real racing cars, as opposed to the awful
cars games consoles they drive these days. 8)
Hunt was never the best example of a driver of them though.
All the cars were Cosworth V8 apart from Ferrari and Alfa.

Back in the day many of the 'playboy' drivers would arrive at the circuit straight from a party. ;D
Hunt...Graham Hill, Clay Regazzoni.....and plenty of others did the same.
Stewart and Lauda probably had an early night.

British Motorcycle GP (1977 iirc) Sheene was still absolutely pissed from Friday night when qualifying took place, so his team mate Steve Parrish qualified Sheenes bike wearing Sheenes helmet etc.
Parrish was pretty pissed off because he qualified Sheenes bike higher up the grid than he qualified his own bike. ;D

Hunt would party all night with a gaggle of air hostesses and a large bag of white powder, then jump in the car to race with little if any sleep.
This might explain some of his ludicrous driving an crashe at times, but he had fun while it lasted.
