Title: iOS 15
Post by: STEMO on 23 September 2021, 17:20:34
....is quite annoying. And it's used up most of the storage on my iPad. Never mind, I might buy a new one with the money I'm saving on gas  ;D

Whats IOS? ::)
It’s a mechanism to give Android users much merriment :D

Very effective too, especially if you are bored and/or depressed... The electronic equivalent of cat videos ;)

A very user friendly operating system for modern devices. It stops your next door neighbour seeing everything you're doing, unlike the computers you buy apparently  ;D

No issues with iOS 9.3.5 on my iPad here so I won't bother updating then.  :)

I've had messages from a couple of banks, Metrobank being the most recent, saying that their latest apps require at least iOS 12 to function securely. But, of course, it depends what you use your device for and if you're happy with it.
I downloaded it on to an iPad that probably need's replacing in the near future, to see if I was missing anything. I wasn't, and I wont be putting it on my iPhone 11 just yet.

It was a bit tongue in cheek but I know what you mean.  :y  Many sites say 'Browser not up to date' and I have to watch YouTube via the main site as the app is no longer supported.  :y  My wife wanted to buy me a new one but I begrudge throwing working stuff out. I also have an iPad mini with slightly later software as well as the ipad2. I do most stuff on my phone.  :y

You probably have a PC/laptop to fall back on,  I don't. I only use my iPad to talk shite on this forum, and others, and do everyday stuff like banking, news, weather, etc. My wife has three laptops, one of them a Mac, so if I ever needed to write a word document or the like, she'd be my saviour.

On the contrary, my laptop is an HP Pavilion running Vista so is basically unusable.  ;D  As you can tell, I'm not overly bothered about having the latest of the techie gadgets.  ::)

In saying that, my house is run by an Amazon gadget that only listens to my wife.  ;D
