Id suggest probably already disliked by his team. Or instead of "I'll grab a couple of quid and put it straight in with extras" he's got all indignant and defensive.

You could have put it down to an uncontrollable compulsion if it was donuts. But that was never gonna wash with Jaffa cakes.
