Title: Exhaust repair
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 08 September 2008, 10:13:36
Hi Guys

I need 4x tyres and a new exhaust system for my car - both are urgent, eg need doing now!

I can't afford both immediately, so I am going to go for the tyres, and try and "make-up" an exhaust to just get me by for a bit.

The reason I think I can do this is because I have a couple of genuine systems off previous cars and, being the patent holder of the "Quality" Omega exhaust" I am going to try my luck at making a good one out of them ;D

(Only this time I will use far more substantial materials ;D )

My questions are as follows:

Is there any difference between the saloon and estate mid sections?
what diameter is the exhaust pipe? (So I can make something up to join them!)

Cheers
James

Choosing tires firstly is a good choice..As they connect you to the road..

ps: some good argon welding can fill the holes in exhaust for a period..
