Hiya! fellow OOF'ers. :y
I have just been watching the BBC 5 o'clock news here in Mallorca.
The whole news content was reporting racism and climate change in that order.
Re: racism, the cricket world was devastated? when there was a remark to a pakistani player being called a paki! excuse me! it is only an abbreviation of pakistan ffs. Cricket officials have had to resign through 'political' pressures.
I worked in Pakistan for nearly 6 months and I was called more names there than being called Jock as I was in England! Did I give a F? NO!
This racism thing is getting way out of order in the UK. Let it overwhelm you and there will be big problems.
Does anybody say anything? sweet FA! because you will be called a racist!
Now where have I heard a similar story in the 1930's but with a different theme?
Re: climate change.
Doom and gloom.
It is a BBC thing, and if anybody bothers looking back to my earlier posts (many years ago) you will know what I think of that corporation. (inside knowledge)
AND to wind up the CC debate in Glasgow, guess who gets some airtime? Yep, its Greetin Greta! wtf?
Cheerio from Mallorca,
Jock. 8)

The new chairman of the Pakistani Yorkshire Cricket Club is Lord Patel. ::)
And you're right...no one dare say anything.
We will reap what we sow.

It gets more stupid by the day.

Now then, there lies a story STEMO! Hmmm!
-
Well, if you will watch the BBC, thats what you will get. GB news for me now.
-
Michael Vaughn has been dropped by the beeb.
Apparently he said 'there are too many of you lot'......probably said in banter as part of joking around in training. Vaughn says he can't remember the incident, and I can understand why as his comment is unlikely to have stopped the world from turning.
But no.......hanging is too good for this vile racist now.

Whenever the lefties get hysterical about anything these days I just switch off, because it's usually a storm in a teacup. ::)
Take the hoo haa about Owen Paterson for example, there's a Labour MP who was convicted of threatening behaviour (ie threatening to throw acid in someone's face) this week, she hasn't resigned her seat and none of our corrupt leftie remainstream media have batted an eyelid! >:(
That said, Boris is a t-wat for doing what he did this week... ::)

I like Free Speech Nation with Andrew Doyle......even if he is a nancy boy. :y
Colin Brazier is also very professional. :y

She's an independent, I believe.
-
As of pretty recently. She was elected as a Labour MP.
Played the race card from start to finish to try and get off with it.
Vile bitch.
-
She is a Corbynista.
::)
-
Anyway, nothing is her fault.
A court filled with racist white supremacists screwed her.

True. She was elected a Labour MP, suspended from the Labour party when charged and expelled when convicted, but where is the media hysteria for her to resign her seat? ???
That she hasn't resigned shows the calibre of Labour MP's IMO. ::)

I was only checking in as it were le Frog! ::) ::)
Re: news. I will/have been watching local Spanish news for years and you get a far better grasp on news outside this country. Especially the UK.
Varche will vouch for that.
No BS, just their take on it.
Cheers,
Jock.

Unfortunately there are lots of idiots who sympathise with this crap it’s time ordinary people made their voice heard

There could be another way...
If every bloke in the workplace wrote to HR on Monday expressing their wish to identify as a women on every day with a T in it, and started using the women's toilets on those days and those days only, there wouldn't be anything that anyone could do about it apart from eventually say how ridiculous it all is and revert to 'normal'.
And if they get all pissy about it, take them to court and take every single penny.

To be fair than scenario is really not so far fetched as it it seems these days,.... give it a few years.......

No, not true.
Unless a man has been officially and legally identified as being fully transitioned then he can be arrested for indecency if a woman makes a complaint to the police. Until anyone goes through the full physiological, medical and legal procedures, with recognition under the terms of the Gender Recognition Act 2004, with a Gender Recognition Certificate being issued, they must use the disabled (neutral gender) toilets.
Quite rightly women’s groups have protested about some proposed changes to that Act that would allow someone identifying as “female” themselves, without any official input, to use female facilities, such as changing rooms as well as toilets. For me that is unacceptable and any man - that is what they are until they get a GRC - coming into our female domains is threatening us on many levels. >:(

It seems that personal identification is enough, Lizzie. :-X
Here we have the 'out of control SNP' sending a big f*uck you to biological women. It seems the judge wants answers as to why they have ignored the rights of women. If a man can be a woman then there is no such thing as a woman.

I do not understand Opti what apparently has/is happening in Scotland, but the Gender Recognition Act 2004, plus amendments which still covers the whole of the UK, still defines that men cannot be treated with the same rights as us women until they have obtained a Gender Recognition Certificate only issued by the Government Gender Recognition Panel.
There has been no change legally to that process although some groups, I think very wrongly, are trying to promote the "self identification" angle and circumvent the GRA 2004. It cannot and should not happen, especially at this time of us females living in heightened fear about our safety. Any change has and will be vigorously challenged by feminist groups who have got my full support.
I do not wanty to share a female space with a full, physical man who is just claiming to be female!! >:(
I would add that all the genuine Trans women I have had dealings with agree with the existing system, without any shortcuts.
-
I would argue that your experience is skewed by virtue of the fact that most of the people you have dealings with are already 'in the system' and therefore automatically entitled 'victims'.
The vast majority* are quite happy living their lives as they see fit without help or intervention from either the system or pious do-gooders.
*This majority includes every box you can think of, and some you probably haven't.
-
Cheers,
Jock.
Now surely I should be up in arms, as referring to yourself as Jock excludes me, as I'm not a Sweaty. There will be outrage!
I demand a vigil, and us English should superglue ourselves to the M74.
;D

No, not at all. I have met those at all stages of the process, before, during and after. The genuine cases are prepared to go through it all to the end, and obtain that recognition as I previously described.
Those who are not genuine, that is felt like they do from early childhood, soon are rejected by “the process” as their particular personalities “truths” are exposed.
You will always have those who just live their lives as they think is right for them, but they will not get official recognition or indeed seek it. They just float through life coping with who they are like everyone else, but stay away from any official process. ;)

Many don't transition at all, Lizzie. About 80% from what I read.
They just decide they are now women whilst keeping the old meat and two veg fully intact. These individuals are as much of a woman as I am. :)

Well you are a bit of an old woman from time to time! :)

No one has established exactly how many people identify themselves as “transgendered”, but it is probably under 1% of the population, and it is reckoned by the authorities that due to many reasons a high proportion remain living in their birth gender, but it is a very complicated picture with many factors playing their part in the decision making process to transition or not.
Those who do not have surgery and still have their original genitals remain legally their birth gender until they do. Until then, yes, legally and in my book morally they are still men, or women as may be appropriate. ;)

I have never changed my tune on this subject. ::) ;)

Yeah, right ;D
-
Yeah, right ;D
Believe what you want, as I know you do, but on this subject, along with a few others, I never change my mind.
It probably is your inability to see through your natural cynicism and carping that you do with many, which has stopped you reading my posts constructively. ::) ::) :P ;D ;D ;)

Perhaps if they were constructive to begin with.
Beware the Devil for his smooth tongue... or words to that effect.
