A couple of years or so ago I along with my step daughter and her two young granddaughters went to Bruntingthorpe in my V70 to take part in a world record attempt for greatest number of Volvo cars in a parade. This attempt was disallowed and a second attempt was organised for last year at Elvington this was postponed due to the pandemic and took place this year instead. We again took part and now the world record has been confirmed at 800 cars all in single file all moving at once not more than 2 metres apart over a two mile course.Apart from the achievement of the record the events combined raised £37,000 for the British heart Foundation :y :y

Well down to all those that took part :)

Cool! 8)
I wasn't invited though.... :-\ :'(

Well done Baza, an amazing feat. It would have only taken one car to break down to scupper the whole thing.

Huge credit must be given to the guys and gals who put the time and effort into organizing the attempts and also to those who marshalled them.I along with many, many others did the easy bit and just stumped up the entry fee and put our hands in our pockets to support the charity while enjoying a good couple of days out.
