Title: MP3
Post by: Mr Skrunts on 15 November 2021, 16:08:27
1st of all, if this thread is agaist any OOF rules or laws then please delete.

I have some original music CD's that I want to add the tunes to my phone.

I thought that windows did the conversion as part of the transfer process ( or used to) (Convert from CD th HDD then transfer to mobile.

My question is, what software is easy to use from the CD to MP3 format (and is free)

Thankyou in advance.

Gaytunes might. Media player software on the PC/Lappy should also be able to figure it out.  :-\

I have Media Player set to automatically rip a CD to MP3 the first time it's played. It also downloads the track details and album art if that matters.

With that done, copying the music to other devices or memory cards is easy.

Windows does it natively, but you have to use the Windows Media Player, not that stupid apple-esque PoS Groove.  Media Player defaults to to MS proprietary formats, but can be changed in settings.

If its an iOS device, you need another utility as well to actually get it on the phone.  Apple will say iTunes obviously, but there are other tools out there, some commercial, some freeware.
