Title: Hornby - Model Railways
Post by: Mr Skrunts on 05 December 2021, 11:23:16
I was born 1961 and my parents (Probably my Dad) bought me a model railway set (Steam engine, 3 pullman coaches & a post coach)  As I grew older I aquired lots of scenery & track to the point where it out grew the garage where it was set up. :y

When I started work I sold everthing apart from the steam engine & carriages. (and have regreted it ever since.) :-\

Then today I read about this guy.

I wonder what my setup might have become if I had the space to expand. ::)

It's amusing that he hid the fact that he was building a model railway from his new girlfriend and told her that he was a wine merchant which accounted for the lease on the mill building he used for his hobby.  ;D

My husband once built a very large train layout around his office, but of course he claimed it was for the benefit of our two boys!! ::) ::) ;D ;D ;)

It was impressive though! :-* :-* ;)
