While I'm plodding through my rebuild I'm going to need some suitable sealant for the sump, the oil cooler, etc.
Any recommendations for a biiiig cartridge that I can use with a sealant gun rather than me messing about with un-Pete-friendly little tubes? I'm figuring it will work out better value and more importantly I can control it better with my fists of ham...

GM grey goo ;)

Both Wurth and Loctite do cartridges of oil resistant sealants for sumps and other engine parts, so I suspect the other manufacturers do too.
But you will need to use an entire, expensive cartridge quickly for it to be more economical than just buying a small tube for your specific job. A smear in each joint is all that's needed, not thick beads like for the ends of V8 inlet manifolds.

Roger that, thank you!
