That looks gorgeous, a real stunner, but for that money it should be! ;D ;D

I would also worry about working on a V8 engine enclosed in an Omega bay, after seeing pictures of the proposed Vx V8 and it's engine bay.  And the 141k mileage could mean big bills to come!

But no doubt others will not see this as a challenge, just the price really, and the LPG cheaper running claim.  Is LPG still regularly available and at what price?  Although given the rise in Unleaded, perhaps that situation is changing!

I would love to give it a test run though................ 8) 8) 8) :D :y

The LS is significantly easier to work on that the Omega V6 and much more reliable. And even without lpg is more economical than an Omega V6.

Also, that particular car is essentially a Monaro under an Omega Estate, so suffers from none of the Omega front suspension nonsense. In fact, the only Omega foibles that might affect it over time is corrosion, but that car is particularly rust free.

Anyone seriously interested would understand that when they go to view it.

It's Robsey off here, seen it in the flesh at Brackley Meet.

I really wouldn't worry about that mileage, it's nothing on an engine these days, especially on a V.

I would imagine that apart from the bodyshell, not many parts of it have covered 141000.

Yes both the V6 and the LS are pretty indestructible engines and will do over 500,000 if maintained properly, the only real problem I can see is the insurance for it My Monaro is about the same as my Omega but not sure this would be though  :D BTW I am not looking to buy it just wondered if people knew it

That's my old 3.0 MV6 Manual, had it for years, sold it to Rob a while back, who obviously wasn't happy with the SuperChip I fitted.  ;)

I think in the US the equivelent model is the Catera and was fitted  with a LS V8 :y :y

The 2001 MY had the 3.0 with the 2.6/3.2 DBW throttle and coil packs ;)

The V8 Catera myth stems from a chap who owned a tuning shop buying up GMs parts stockpile when they cancelled it and churning them out as a limited run... Any V8 cars were left the factory with nothing larger than the 3.2. ;)

When i win the lottery I want to have an Omega to go play on the drag strips with.

Not sure if 2000 HP could be shoe horned under the bonnet though.

You simply can't beat a V8 & before anyone mentions a V12 they're shit.

There are some beautiful sounding engines, but an Audi S1 at full chat through the forest with Stig Blomqvist at the wheel will never be matched for me.

Especially for a twin engined Mondeo coupe :D

Can't think of a shit V12 engine though... Sure some weren't particularly reliable but that's as much to do with engine/fuel management as anything.
