Not sure if it would be good or bad if she won.

Not a fan of Macron.....and his built up shoes. :)

Did Macron have 18 audiences with Herr Putin? Didn’t achieve much?

Yep....Macron thinks if he plays with the big boys he will become one. He was always hanging around Trump.

Voting today in the first round.

Twelve candidates running, it seems.

I think the French system requires the top 2 go through to a final shootout a month or so from now.

Do they run it on the sames lines as the World Cup, with the same level of corruption?

Very likely.

Even if Marine Le  Pen wins I doubt she will be 'allowed' to win.

So Macron wins the first round with 28% of the votes, Le Pen second with 23%. Most of the defeated candidates' votes will now go to Macron and he will win. I can't see how it can ever be any different.
All of this scaremongering by the MSM happens every time there's an election. The first round of voting means nothing, except for getting people all excited like.

Russian collusion in action... Perhaps 18 lunches wasn't such a bad deal after all...

This is what happened in 2017.

The only difference being is that Macron is no longer the 'golden boy' of French politics so it may be closer than you think.

I dont know enough about her to judge if she fits my subjective criteria of "far right", but it irks me that every mention of her on news programmes starts with "The far right candidate, Marine le Pen...."
Dont remember anyone constantly being referred to as far left.

He has shown himself to be very politically naive over the last week.
His enemies (Boris or his chums) have run rings around him.
Boris has just announced that he has full confidence in him, so he will probably be out of a job in the very near future.  ;D

She is a lentil munching leftie when compared to Eric Zemmour.

Agreed. In the news footage of her I haven't seen any goose stepping nazis following her about.  ::)  ;D

From what I understand in recent years she has abandoned policies like ditching the Euro and bringing back the Franc, leaving the EU, or bringing back the death penalty, and she has changed the name of her party from National Front (or Front Nationale) to National Rally.

She has softened her rhetoric on Islam, although continues a tough line on immigration, which I'm sure would be abandoned as soon she got the keys to the Elysee Palace as they all do!  ::)

That tough line on immigration is probably enough to be branded Far Right though.  :)

Exit poll: Macron 58.2%, Le Pen 41.8%. As expected, really.

Something that caught my eye, Macron supporters at the Eiffel Tower dancing around to "One more time", a song by an English group sung in English. Imagine Boris supporters at Trafalgar Square listening to some froggie song.

Have you heard French popular music? It's so bad that you struggle to find it on French radio. Or anywhere.

There are only two candidates because the others were eliminated in the previous rounds.

How many times have you told the nosy beggars outside the polling station that you voted Green? Probably as many times as you've told them to not be so nosey.

Imagine how many closet Trump voters said 'democrat' when asked ;)

......and why does the BBC and others describe anyone who isn't a commie as 'far right' or right wing extremist'?

Because they think that anyone who has a different opinion or doesn't share their view of how the world should be is evil.  ::)

Every country is split, the party/person with the majority of the votes gets to govern. It's called democracy.

Also....why is Macron married to his mother? ::)

Again, that's usually the way. I can't say I've ever really thought the Tories were that great, but the alternative is unthinkable.

Well I wasn't far out, as Macron had tomatoes thrown at him during a walkabout at a market in a Paris suburb today.  :)

Unfortunately they missed and hit one of his bodyguards instead.  ::)

Good effort though.  :y   Vive la France!  ;D
