I was in Lidl today and in the middle they had a 'weighted blanket' which was bleddy heavy and I thought it would be great to wrap up in during winter when I can't afford to put the heating on. :( :y

I'm fairly sure they made an appearance 2 or 3 weeks ago, for about 2hrs....

Well I've been bulk buying logs so they dry out in time for Winter. So far, 100 bags. That's almost enough, we do about 1 bag per night when it's cold. We do have central heating, but the way things are we may not have any gas (or can't afford it).

My house doesn't have a chimney as it was taken down years ago, so I can't even burn the furniture to keep warm. :(

Mine was built without a chimney. :D Always start a bonfire in the middle of the lounge i suppose.

I tried that once (well, a bedroom, not a lounge) on my first evening in a brand new house. Not recommended.
