Title: FI British Grand Prix. SPOILER ALERT !
Post by: Migv6 le Frog Fan on 03 July 2022, 15:13:55
Well, that didnt last long. While Hamilton was having a superb start, young China Joe was flying upside down into the barriers on the first corner, so a red flag straight away.
Hope he,s ok.  :(

I was listening to Ch4's coverage as I was driving back (car has one of those dual view screens, so only Mrs TB could actually see the pictures, I could only see the usual satnav screen), so I thought I'd grasped how serious the little bump was.

When I got home and saw it for the first time at the end of the race, JESUS!!

And if the fence hadn't stopped it, I think the next stop would have been one of the spectator stands?

It would indeed.  :y
I think they need to change it a bit so there isnt an F1 car sized gap between the barriers and the safety fencing.
They must have had a hell of a job to get him out of there.
It doesnt bear thinking about what would have happened if fire had been involved !
