Got one that is strugling to start so am assuming its the starter thing in the side.
Just been on Amazon and spoilt for choice. So many model numbers even though mostly the same wattage. :-\
Not sure if my fitting is 4 or 5 foot length but is single tube.
Been active for 12 years+ with out issue, few moths in the diffuser and the tube needs a wipe but all is good.
What wattage are the tubes? which starter is likely to be required.?
TIA :y

The wattage will be written on the tubes, if it hasn't disappeared with age.

Just replace the lamp with an LED tube ,
about Half the electricity usage, instant on, and not much more than a new "ye olde" fluorescent lamp and starter :y

that's the 4 foot version ;)
other sizes , shops and on-line options available

old lamps are 36 watt for 4 foot T8 lamp or 56 Watts for the 5 foot T8 lamp
if you've had 12 years out of the lamp and starter then you've done well
tube ends going dark ? it won't last long if you just replace the starter .
if you replace for flourecent ,a 4 foot lamp is £6 and a 5 foot lamp £5.50 plus starter >>>

£3.30 :o
much better to go LED

Just replace the lamp with an LED tube , .....
Agreed ....
I 'acquired' 3 double 5 ft? led tube lights from work for my garage. They're loads better than the fluorescents they replaced.

Sounds good, most of the house is LED anyway so makes sence.
So just to confirm. Out with the old tube, replae with an LED, no starter required. :y

No, you usually have to fit a bypass (fused) starter that comes with the LED tube
