"Hose pipe ban" needs explaining better
OK ,so I can't connect a hose pipe to a drinking water tap connected to the "Water board"
but what about pumping water from my pond ,or connecting a hose pipe to my water butts to water the weeds :-\

Presumably during a drought, your water butts will be dry as a nun's chuff. :) Doh! ;D

I think Dave that the authorities are giving some credit to the masses that their intelligence and powers of common sense will prevail with then knowing the difference between using a hose pipe connected to a mains water supply, or just a water butt or pond. ;D ;)

My old man, (rest his soul) bought himself a submersible pump and slung it in the river at the bottom of his garden. He went to retrieve it one day and fell in. Oh how we laughed. ;D

I saw a bloke at our local stream yesterday filling up a load of 25 litre containers with water. Must be getting desperate. :-\
