I'm after some strong double sided tape, will be used inside so doesn't necessarily have to be weatherproof.Anyone any recommendations as to best to go for?

What's it for, as the recommendation will change accordingly...

The rear window on step daughters Volvo C70 soft top convertible was beginning to fall out[a common issue on these]which we've reattached with some mastic type stuff she bought.Around the glass is a rubber[?]seal which is the bit that sticks to the inside of the roof but she wants to finish it off/neaten it up on the interior[and hopefully add a little extra strengthening to the mastic stuff]we could of course use some more of the mastic but she's worried it could get messy doing that so thought some strong double sided tape would make for a tidier job.The rear window on these is glass so quite weighty compared to the "plastic" type window fitted to many soft tops.

How should it be attached?

Mask any area off that you don't want mastic on etc and use tigar seal or Polyurethane windscreen sealant
that will cure and bond permanently ;)
any "tape" may well come un-stuck when the adhesive goes soft due to heat
global warming and all that :-X
a car cabin in direct sunlight on a 40+ degree day gets pretty hot .

3M 1300L could do the job ;)

I wonder if Mr Baza is too long in the tooth for such frivolity. ::) ::) ;)

Can it not be mended professionally ? After watching some of these restoration programmes it appears that someone somewhere can mend anything.

Pablo Picasso said something along the lines of ' men should aim to die as young as possible, but leave it as long as they can'
He died at 92, probably during sex. ;) :D

The window was originally "glued" in place but also heat sealed as well.Apparently independent specialists all say the same thing which is "Put a new roof on it" with figures ranging from just shy of £1,000 to £1,200 as in parts it's a two person job and once fitted needs calibrating to the car and at present it's not an affordable option. As said she could finish it off on the inside with the same stuff she's already used but is worried it may get rather messy and would prefer to use double sided tape if at all possible.
As my partner passed away seven years ago and she was disabled for a good many years before that then my getting a bit of the other[kinky or otherwise]is but a dim and distant memory :'( :'( :'( :D
