Just got a new set of kyb front springs. According to the kyb site the longer spring (RC1540) is fitted to the left (passenger side) but on another post on this site it says that the longer spring is right (drivers side).
Please can anyone give me the correct fitting before I pay someone to fit them.
Thanks.

UK spec right hand drive cars have equal length front springs.
Continental spec left hand drive cars have unequal length springs. For those cars I think the longer spring goes on the left side.
I suggest you phone KYB and check with them which spring goes on which side for a RHD Vauxhall.

Lhd Omega has the driver, steering box, column and brake servo on the same side as the battery. The slight extra spring length is to compensate for this.
Officially, standard RHD V6 front springs should be 373mm long. Also rear springs are different saloon and estate and also self levelling or not.
You may need to swap one of your new springs to get a matched pair. That said KYB wouldn't have been my first choice.

Fit the longer spring to the driver's side and stop worrying.
Not that you'll ever be able to tell which side it's fitted to just by driving the car....
