Title: OK....let us assume Trussy is dead meat.
Post by: Field Marshal Dr. Opti on 20 October 2022, 13:20:09
What happens next?

Boris makes a comeback with 147 Tory knives still stuck in his back.

Hunt becomes PM

General election.

Rishy and Penny become the dream ticket

Maggie Thatcher is dug up and becomes the new PM.

I don't think a GE would actually achieve anything.

The leftie Elites have nothing to offer either.

Might as well appoint Laura Kuntzenberg as PM... She's always full of piss and vinegar about how crap the government is. About time she put her money where her mouth is :-X

I'm surprised she lasted till today, silly woman absolutely no leadership skills & a total lack of confidence, which was blatantly obvious in her entire demeanour, anyhow I'm a few quid up from my neighbour who was silly betting that she'd stay the distance , I'll toast her memory tonight..

If the Tory MP get to choose my guess is they will pick either Sunak (or God help us) Mordaunt.

If Tory party members get the final say KB may be a dark horse who could come through.

I might put twenty quid on Kemi at 20/1.

She was/is like 'sister of Starmer'......wooden and inept. She is a conservative though except the Tory party don't seem to want one of those. We are likely to end up with some sort of wishy-washy woke liberal.

Proof that you're not quite the most incompetent of your peers is not a recommendation. Or anything to brag about.

Will Cincinnatus return from his plowshare?  ???

According to reports, Boris is flying back from his holiday in the Caribbean today. If he stands and the Tory party give the members the final say, I wouldn't bet against him getting back into No10, nor would I bet against him winning the next general election either!  :)

The leftie outrage would be spectacular!  ;D  :y

Boris is pretty much a liberal lefty.

He has no problem with millions turning up. He is heavily into net zero. And he struggles to define what a woman is much like Pink News regular Starmer.

Besides, it would be Carrie who decides.

No. It is time to move on from Bojo.

Small 'c' conservatism has been absent from the the Conservative party for a long time and we've just seen what happened to Liz Truss when she tried to revive it.  :(

I'm not particularly a fan of Boris. Everything you say about him above is right, but I see him as the best bet to keep Sir Starmer out of No10.  :y

The Tories are crap and incompetent, but when you have a good look at His Majesty's Opposition.....  :-X

Generally not fond of giving too much power to girlies, but at least Suella and Kemi have Conservative instincts.....but if either become PM they will probably go the way of Trussy and Kwasi in short order.

I agree. But I suspect they will either go for Sunak (deemed a safe pair of hands) or Boris, because despite his many and obvious faults, he wins elections.

It's a crazy world where well over 100 Tory MP want Boris gone and then 5 minutes later want him back.

This sounds like 'sloppy seconds' to me. Hardly much of a vision for the future. :-X

Perhaps there is something to be said for the Reform Party after all.

On a lighter note....

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II saw off 14 Prime Ministers during her long reign.  :)

His Majesty King Charles III will have a comparatively short reign compared to his mother, but he's made an impressive start on her record!  ;D

He used to win elections , people have seen through him now , even Tory hardliners wouldn't back him now , would they ?

Apparently Boris already has 48 nominations from Tory MP's.

Perhaps not, but if the third worst person doesn't come forward who's left?

Plenty will piss and moan until the cows come home, but apparently none of them will actually put themselves forward :-X

And as the mathematically challenge chap from Northern France so aptly demonstrated... Being Chancellor does not a Prime Minister make...  ::)

He isnt a Conservative. He is a Liberal. Thats why he doesnt understand peoples concerns around high levels of immigration.
When he was Mayor of London, he wanted to give an amnesty to all illegal immigrants.

I don't think that many Tory MP's are conservative these days Albs.  :-\

Look at the so called conservative MP Richard Holden who described Liz Truss and Kwasi Kwarteng as 'Libertarian Jihadists' when they tried to implement some solid small 'c' conservative policies.  ::)

Yep it seems that most Tory MP's would be more at home in the Lib Dems or New Labour.

Liz and Kwasi were slapped down in no uncertain terms when they tried to deviate from the EU and WEF mantra. Next Tory leader will be far more obedient.

So Rishi breezed in in the end.Now let's see how long he survives before the knives in the back become too obvious.
