Title: Nissan Terrano
Post by: Kate on 13 September 2008, 19:57:27
Has anyone had a Nissan Terrano before?  I was just wondering what they are like?

If I ever get a job I was thinking about getting one for off roading.

I don't think there's a 0-60 time for good reason...they come to a grinding halt when towing as well.

Can't comment on their off-road abilities, but look at what everyone else uses..if it's not a LandRover, it's a Suzuki..

I had a Nissan Terrano II for a year when I worked in Bosnia and gave it a lot of punishment due to the roads there, it was alright but it was always in the workshop for something, it wouldn't be my first choice for an off roader.

Why off road vehicle ?

They are heavy both on weight and fuel..

Bit of a hobby over here...like rallying, but at slow speed, and on terrain you can't even walk through...

Try and YouTube "Land"Rover test track" - and you might get a better picture..

Actually if global warming continues in the same trend countries which have coasts of big oceans will need those vehicles..Because when a storm hits you dont know where is the road  :-/

I agree with you Cem. It's a bit like people who own a car and for some reason go and buy a bike. Why would you do that?  ::)

No,you could get a good runner for £1000, go for a series 2 2a or 3, rough and ready but cheap to repair and great fun.......... ;D ;D ;D

talking of Nissan, the daughters boyfriend has just finished his Nissan Pulsar, new engine amongst other expensive items....more money than sense....but hey...what a car, went for a spin, nearly lost my head into the back seat when he dropped his foot down, recent test showed 350 BHP, he has put tons of stuff on it, the list is endless, he is having a respray shortly ready for some Jap car show next year at some place or other, he did say but i forgot.
