Title: X20XEV swap Y22xe
Post by: Fedevtecx on 25 November 2023, 11:11:28
Hello boys 👋🏼
I need help understanding how to get out of this situation.
I inherited a 2000's Omega B, 2.0 16v X20XEV.
The engine needs to be completely redone...
I was thinking of putting a Y22XE.
Will it fit well? what needs to be replaced?

It drops straight in but you need to use the wiring, sensors and throttle body from the 2.0 as it's DIS pack and cable throttle.2.2 is coil pack on plug and electronic throttle.

Thank you
I found a Y22XE and an X30XE in good condition, and I'm considering whether to fit a different engine or rebuilt the x20.
I can't find an X20XEV in good condition

The Y22 will be an easier swap than the X30 ;)

If the car was already a V6 then your options are reversed.
