Title: Couriers - Pickup.
Post by: Mr Skrunts on 04 December 2023, 13:32:18
I decided againt keeping an item I bought (Not cheap)

Item , never opened so brand new - started a return but had a question.  Spoke to the company 1st thing this morning.  No problem at all and as expected I will be returning the item at my own cost for a full refund

My dilema is which company, I checked a comparison site (based on 1 metre/1KG)
Prices start from £3ish, filters next day/2 day etc raise the cost.

DHL - Evri - Royal Mail adds come up in the list, But there no cover mentioned over £20

If carriage is paid by credit card is there any sort of insurance cover with that?

TB mentioned in another post about RM doing offers on pickup.

It won't be cheap, but it will get the job done.

All the standard couriers will increase the insurance costs, but obviously there is a additional fee for that.  That includes RM, Herpes/Evri, DPD, UPS and so on.

Normal parcels only have £20 insurance cover but you can up it at further cost
Abnormal parcels have £50 cover and again, it can be upped at a price

Too much form filling to just get a price.

How reliable are Royal Mail?

ZIP/Postal Code and City do not match

Is the city matching what Royal Mail say if your town for a postcode? As I bet they all use the RM database, AFD Postcode.

Try RM's postcode lookup.
