Title: Who is F1 striking today?
Post by: Martin_1962 on 14 September 2008, 09:57:15
I am I cannot be bothered to watch fixed races, so stuff them I have more important things to do.

I know Massa will win as that is what Ferrari International Assistance will organise.

Might just as well be watching the WWF Wrestling these days. Where are they driving in their mobile advertising platforms today?

I won't be watching it. Come to think of it, I haven't watched it for years.

Instead, we're going to the rugby to see the Cornish Pirates play the Exeter Chiefs in National League One.

I watched avidly until Hill retired found the Schumaker era boring, started again when Schumaker retired, except for the odd GP here and there

Should be good then, I follow the results of a couple of premiership teams, couldn't afford to go though but may one day when the two I follow the results of play locally.

Following a local team is a lot cheaper and National League One is a good standard. I'm taking my daughter today and we should have change from £20 including something to eat and drink.  :y

My two localish teams are P1 teams anyway, and the local team to where I grew up has always been.

Sorry I like driving but watching F1 is like watching paint dry. Both son in laws are well into it though and good side is they provide beers if they come over to see it at our place. :D ;)

I still enjoy watching F1 these days and there have been some great races this season.  In my opinion it is good to have so many drivers capable of winning, whereas in the Schumacher era it was mostly him winning!

Hoping for a wet race today in Monza for a bit more fun! :-)

It was a pretty decent race.  Watched the last third from the Paddock Cafe at Silverstone.  Needed a break form the sun anyway.

Great day at Silverstone, much better weather than last year and the Audis were running this time.  :y

its interesting to note that there is very little sympathy for lewis over last weeks events with the other drivers.

In general the other dirivers consider the punishment to be harsh, but they think that a punishment is deserved.  The problem is that once the stewards decided that he should be punished there was only one punishment available.  That punishment was worse for the sport than no punishment though.

I wonder if Heiki punting Webber in the same corner earlier on made them more prone to punish Lewis?  I actually thought that Heiki got off lightly.  Therefore, Alonso's claim that the stewards have been tough but consistent doesn't apply even for that race.

They do seem harsher with McClaren than anyone else, Raikonnen should have had something for Monaco, and also Massa for was it Spain.

I though LH did a good back off after being pushed off - AFAIC it is all racing and changing the results is rotten.

If Massa wins the championship by less than 6 points it will seem invalid. There are a lot of hot young drivers out there, can we just see them race and have first over line being the winner.

F1 seems to have become a business now as appose to a sport & has become a little dull to watch, the heart's gone from it for a while now. I recently watched some prog. that showed it through the years ie 50's, 60's,70's & it was great, white knuckle jostling for places, real driving. It was really entertaining to watch. Seems a bit clinical now in comparison.
Football's gone the same way really...sorry but it has. :(

Despite the passion that many people have for it, I can only agree - football and F1.

MotoGP is still worth watching. We are seeing one of the greatest bike racers ever battling it out for the World Championship. Rossi beat Agostini's 68 win record yesterday.

I would imagine they are saying what their PR people allow them to say.. or keeping their heads down lest they get it at the next race. >:(
